If trends of the past three decades continue, 86% of American adults could be overweight by 2030 and 100% by 2048, a gov't-funded study says. Researchers concede that this outcome may be "genetically and physiologically" impossible. Still, they note that some American groups have serious weight problems: 78% of African-American women are overweight or obese.
